An inmate on Indiana's death row has a sister who needs a liver transplant. The inmate wants to donate his. And now there's a scramble: to see if health insurance will cover it, to see if the governor will grant a temporary stay to allow the procedure, to determine how to get around Indiana law that requires lethal injection instead of the electric chair (lethal injection would ruin the liver).
