During my morning surfing, I ran across this great quote from Rochefoucald:
"It takes great cleverness to be able to conceal one's cleverness."
Hence, the urbane subtlety of this blog. I'm so clever, you probably don't even know it. I'm so clever, I bet no one even laughs.
Rouchefoucald's quote, by the way, reminds me of Chesterton's observation: "A true saint always conceals his holiness. That is the one invariable rule" (rough quote).
Hence, the quiet holiness of this blog. I'm so holy . . .
