Miscellaneous Rambling

The official (albeit rough) figures from the graduation party: 98 adults (21 or over), 15 or so little kids (pre-teen), and about 60 teens. Alcohol consumed (roughly): four fifths of hard liquor, two bottles of wine, and six cases of beer. So, approximately 250 drinks total (170 beers, 70 shots, 10 glasses of wine). A good party, but at 2.5 drinks per person, not a clear sign of excess, though there were outliers on both sides of the spectrum. * * * * * * * Jack cleared in gifts more than the party cost to throw, which is always our "soft" (unimportant) goal with grad parties. Now, if we billed our time at minimum wage, he would've cleared far less than the cost, but that's alright. * * * * * * * The death of Christianity, in seven short cartoons. * * * * * * * Happy June. * * * * * * * Three things to know about the Sign of the Cross. * * * * * * * The New Evangelization at work: President Obama to Deliver Future of Health Care Address at Catholic Health Assembly. They tried to exhume Margaret Sanger for a Weekend-at-Bernie's-type speech, but the authorities stopped them. * * * * * * * Good selection of free books, some audio downloads. * * * * * * * My (novel?) attempt to explain the Sacrifice.
