Garden

I received another load of wood chips on Monday. It allowed me to eliminate the remaining strip of lawn from my back and side yards. I've now wiped out about half my lawn . . . and it's the side that was most difficult to mow. Instead of an hour, mowing is now a 25-minute job. * * * * * * * Based on my calculations, I should be able to plant 40 pumpkin, zucchini, watermelon, cucumber, and squash plants in my Eden garden and still have room left over. I'm pretty stoked. Next year will be my fifth year of gardening, and it'll be the first year that I won't feel cramped. * * * * * * * Just discovered: The Daily Telegraph has a regular garden feature. Thanks TDE reader Kevin for letting me know. * * * * * * * I found this interesting new book at that Telegraph site: Homegrown Revolution. I'd put it on my Christmas list, but it doesn't appear to be readily-available in the U.S.
