"Bubble Ball" is the king of the iPod Application universe. It has been downloaded over 2 million times. The developer? A fourteen-year-old boy from Utah. I don't care much for video games, but the application is free so I downloaded it last night. It's fun. * * * * * * * Odd request. I'm looking for sports psychology books. I'm especially interested in books with a Zen or Taoist slants, but would like to see anything y'all recommend: Zen, Taoist, Christian, Catholic . . . anything except Jungian or Muslim. Comments box or email is fine. * * * * * * * Palin Hatred. James Taranto tries to understand the incredibly-intense nature of the liberals' hatred for Palin. He says that they no doubt disdain her because they think she's a moron, but they think everyone right of left is a moron, so that can't be it. He thinks it's a combination of intellectual snobbery (she wasn't educated at Yale or Harvard, or even Michigan or UCLA) and she's pro-life. The latter, he concludes, is the real motivator for their hatred. This woman climbed to the top without stepping on fetuses. For that, she can't be forgiven . . . and must be crushed, like a skull between forceps. * * * * * * * Good Late Night. (Conan) "The Austrian version of 'Dancing With the Stars' will feature two men dancing together. That's right, a gay version of 'Dancing With the Stars.'
