The colorful folks at 4Chan are at it again: Operation Progressive Racial Identity. "Praise Michael Jackson for being an early trans-racial." This stuff is pure gold, though the poor grammar and spelling is a downer (at least for grammar nerds like me). * * * * * * * "I might be physically white, but I'm trans-black and you're a bigot for not accepting my racial identity." Gold. * * * * * * * Interesting: Top 100 Kindle Books at Amazon. The list is divided between free and paid. I want to make The Adventures of Beer Man free, but for the life of me, I can't see how to do it. * * * * * * * I think people are slowly beginning to understand that the Middle Ages weren't nearly as backwards as popular culture assumes, and that the Dark Ages weren't all that dark, but that might just the prejudice of reading current scholarship in the area of late Roman antiquity. Regardless, lists like this one at Listverse should help: Top 10 Inventions of the Middle Ages. * * * * * * * I'm not sure what all this study says, but it would appear this summary is accurate: "Study finds that Catholics use more parts of their brains in moral decisions than atheists." * * * * * * * I've been underwhelmed with the movies coming out this year ("Jersey Boys" hasn't come to a theater near me). But I went to "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" yesterday and really enjoyed it. I'd give it a 7.5.
