Miscellaneous Rambling

I hope everyone had a great Fourth. Mine was great: no commitments at all. I had to work a chunk of it, but that's alright. It involved drafting contracts and trusts, which is something, as far as work goes, I greatly enjoy. It combines my formal education with writing and a bit of puzzle solving. . . . and it pays well. * * * * * * * Speaking of lawyering, I ran across this interesting Today I Learned at Reddit yesterday: "TIL that the woman who won $2.9 million by suing McDonald's over spilled hot coffee asked for only $20,000, to cover her medical bills." * * * * * * * My apologies for the below-par blogging recently. With vacations, a busy office, the garden, and family life, there isn't enough time for prose. The thing is, though, I realize most TDE readers have the same time constraints, so this is the right time of the year for sub-par blogging. Traditionally, blog traffic drops by at least 33% during the summer months. * * * * * * * If you like your libertarian thought delivered with spice, check out this guy's Youtube page. I've only watched half of two of his many videos, so I can't begin to endorse him, but I liked what I saw, despite the colorful language.
