Nothing satisfies MADD! Drunk needs ride to store. Enlists nine-year-old daughter's assistance. Police not happy. Link. * * * * * * * Some claim the Copts are the oldest Christian church. At the rate things are going in Egypt, they might soon be extinct. Link. * * * * * * * Okay, this craft beer thing has officially gone too far. It's venturing into what some of my acquaintances (but oh no, never I) refer to as "faggotry": "The cicerone program is similar in structure to the sommelier program for wine. The program offers three levels of certifications, starting with basic information and increasing to complex and more demanding knowledge about beer. This program includes aspects of beer making but also will test one's understanding of beer service, history, styles, flavors and pairing beer with food." Link. * * * * * * * Oooh, I rarely buy a book merely because it's interesting. When I buy a book, it's normally in connection with a broader reading program or a project. But I might have to buy this one: Three and Out: Rich Rodriguez and the Michigan Wolverines in the Crucible of College Football . It's getting amazing reviews. I first saw it referenced (and praised) in New York magazine, of all places. Both geographically and by subject, this normally wouldn't be a book that would get mentioned in New York, but the editors say it's outstanding.
